F.A.Q.

1.        Are your technicians certified?  Yes, Shannon Hicks is a Certified LASER
Technician.  She is also the Co-Owner of Wellsprings DermaSpa and therefore is very
motivated to help her clients achieve the results they want without damaging their skin.  Don’t
get burned.  Many Dermatological Spas have employees who are paid hourly and may not be
as cautious and attentive as their clients deserve.  Also, many spas don’t have a Supervising
Physician in the office to oversee and advise you if necessary; and those that do, don’t
always have a Board Certified Dermatologist but will instead have a physician in an unrelated
field.  Do not overlook these facts when choosing a spa; your appearance is very important
to us as you are our best advertisement!

2.        Is LASER Hair Removal permanent?  It can be but there are no guarantees.  Most
people are very happy with their results.  Others may need to come back for a touch-up
every few months until they get the results they are looking for.  Touch-ups are inexpensive
($15-$50) and can remove occasional re-growth that occurs in limited spots.  Those who are
experiencing sudden hormonal changes may not be good candidates for this procedure as
hair growth can regenerate during these periods.

3.        Am I a good candidate for LASER Hair Removal?  Blonde, red and gray or silver
hair is usually not a good candidate for LASER Hair Removal due to lack of pigment in the
hair follicle.  Also, the darker your skin the less effective the LASER becomes due to the
LASER picking up on the pigment in the skin as opposed to the pigment in the hair.
However, if you are border-line in either of these categories you can always come in and
receive a free spot treatment to find out how effective the treatment could be for you.
Pregnant women should never receive LASER Hair Removal.  As always, Wellsprings
DermaSpa will allow you a free consultation to determine what is best for you.

4.        What kind of LASER do you use?  Wellsprings uses the best and most comfortable
technology on the market. The GentleLASE Plus* employs the largest spot-size in the LASER
Hair Removal Industry and also features the patented dynamic cooling device which sprays
cryogen on the skin just before the LASER pulse to dramatically reduce pain and eliminate
the need for messy gels or expensive anesthetics. It is simply the best LASER Hair Removal
machine on the market.

5.        What can a Photofacial do for me?  A Photofacial can eliminate red spots, brown
spots, Rosacea, and even tattoos.  It will reduce blotchiness and return your skin to a more
natural state, eliminating sun damage and age spots.  It also heats the dermal layer in your
face causing your body to produce more collagen which can reduce wrinkles and make pores
smaller.

6.        What can Microdermabrasion do for me?  Microdermabrasion is a process that
uses aluminum-oxide crystals and a vacuum to remove the top layer of dead skin cells while
cleaning out your pores revealing healthier, fresher and cleaner skin.

7.        What do these procedures cost?  LHR generally costs about $100 per area (i.e.
Under Arms are $100 and the Bikini Line is $100).  Call us for a more complete listing of
areas and also for our many specials.  Photofacials are currently $350 for the entire face;
however prices are greatly reduced when only doing spot treatments.  As always, Wellsprings
DermaSpa will allow you a free consultation to determine what is best for you and to set an
up-front price for you.  Package deals in which you pay up-front for several treatments can
usually save you money.  Microdermabrasion is $75 and can be discounted when used in
conjunction with a Photofacial treatment.

8.        Do you have a Referral Program?  Yes, presently we are giving $20.00 Gift
Certificates to any client who refers another client to Wellsprings (minimum $100.00
treatment required) which can be used or given as a gift.  There is no maximum on how many
Gift Certificates a client can qualify for.

9.        Where are you located?   Wellsprings DermaSpa is conveniently located near the
Arboretum Area at 11671 Jollyville Rd. Suite 104 in the office of Janet DuBois, M.D.

10.        When are you open?  We do not set specific hours because we try to
accommodate our clients regardless of day or time.  Just call 512-263-4100, in advance if
possible, and we will try to do our best to accommodate you.
